I have been using Whitney Auto Service for over 10 years. I have a fleet of vehicles and I need them to run. When they are not running, Whitney Auto Service gets right on it and gets them going. I've been taking my three Chevys to Whitney Auto Service for three years, probably. I find that their service is better than the dealer. When I take my car into the dealer for an oil change, they say it'll take a half hour, and I wind up sitting around for an hour. When I go to Whitney, it's done when they say it will be. They also have Wi-Fi Internet, and a place I can plug my computer in, since it's old and the battery drains in ten minutes. Whitney's prices are good, and if they find anything wrong, they tell me about it. They always gave me the straight shot. They also sell AC Delco parts, which to me is a big deal, because a lot of places these days sell what's called "white box parts," these off-brands that you've never heard of. I've known about AC Delco all my life. The fact Whitney is AC Delco approved and AAA approved means they're a quality shop. They're my mechanic. I really feel that they have my best interests at heart. I've had three vehicles serviced by them, so they know I'm a good customer, and they treat me accordingly. I live in Camarillo, and I drive 46 miles each direction just so they can service my car. I go because I know I can rely on them. I've left checkbooks, cash in the car, they never touch it. They don't even change the radio station. They treat my car with respect. I trust them, they take good care of me.

We've been going to Whitney Auto Service for years. Our son recommended them close to 20 years ago. Our kids go there, and we've also recommended them to our neighbors. If it's something small that doesn't really need to be fixed, Roger will tell you. He always lets us know if it's important, if it's a safety issue. We like Roger very much and his son Daren too. They're just really honest and good. When they do do work, they're not overpriced. They even refer us to other good companies when there's work they can't do.

I been using Whitney Auto Service for the past 4 or 5 years. They are probably the best mechanics I have ever been to in my whole experience owning a car. They are honest, and they actually fix the things that need to be fixed and leave the other items for later. And, they tell you when to check on it. I absolutely trust them. They have done maintenance, replaced parts, and they have done major work. My car is pretty much 11 years old now, and they have done a good job maintaining it. BEST SHOP AROUND!!!
I recently moved to Van Nuys from Nebraska. So when my car broke down i did not know where to go. I first tried a shop right next to where i live and they gave me a quote to fix the car. I then had a friend tell me about Whitney Auto and that they were the best around! So i called Whitney and explained my problem, their quote was seriously almost half of the first shops price. Whitney got my car right in and explained everything they were going to do. They are extremely knowledgeable and very polite and understanding. I even added some things for them to fix on my car and they got everything done in one day without an appointment, that is unheard of. So with all that said i strongly recommend Whitney auto for ANY automotive need.

Excellent Customer Service
Last week we took my husbands car to Whitney Auto Service. The AAA truck driver told us that the battery had to be replaced. When we got there Darren took a look at it and was able to fix it without replacing the battery. He was friendly, fast and very knowledgeable. He sends us off with a running truck 10 minutes later without charge!! Where can you find something like that anymore? These guys know what they are doing and how to treat their customers. I highly recommend this shop to everybody!!! 5 stars for Whitney Auto Shop!

The Only Auto Service Shop I'll Ever Visit
When your car starts crapping out on you, it totally sucks. I had previously visited Whitney Auto Service when I needed a new battery, but came back a month later when my engine started smoking. So my car is like 12 years old, and the water pump was probably just as old. When I got my car towed in, they checked for leaks in my radiator, only to find it bone dry. Horrifying. I hadn't been there 10 minutes when Roger and Darren already had the problem identified. Granted replacing your water pump isn't cheap, but the guys at Whitney Auto Service definitely made it worth my while; replacing all my belts as well. My car was ready to drive away in less than a day, and they gave me an awesome AAA discount. Always friendly and professional, Roger and Darren actually took the time to me how busted my water pump and belts were; utterly busted. My car's running great now, and what would have been a huge inconvenience was wrapped up quickly and effectively thanks to the guys at Whitney Auto Service.

Same-day service and honest people who know about cars
I had a great experience. This is my first time here and I found them by calling around to find a shop that would quickly look at my old car without charging. I didn't want to pay for a look-see. I didn't even know if it was worth repairing or in my budget. The owner, Roger, explained clearly what they could check before spending a dime. I dropped my car off and he fit me in (same day) between the other cars that were being worked on. He looked the car over and called me back with specific information and prices, having prioritized the work according to what was most urgent. The work I authorized was completed and without a heavy sales pitch to convince me. This was great. I felt comfortable and safe with someone who really knows cars and gave specific detailed information. This peace of mind is why I will be returning for my next repair. I strongly recommend this repair shop instead of a chain shop, because you can tell that the people that are there are long term employees, and treat you like a long term client with quality work.

I own a 1966 Mustang, which is now vintage, but when I first started taking it to Whitney Auto Service it was still brand new! I've been going to them for two generations, and his son is involved too, so I guess that makes it three generations now! My experience has been great. Of course, we are on a first name basis after all of these years, which makes me very comfortable. Roger and his team are so trustworthy and really take a genuine interest in their customers. I think that he only employs the very best mechanics at his shop. They are true specialists in their fields. For example, I'll take my car in and he'll know exactly who should work on the issue for me! Many of my friends and all of my family take their cars there too. If you care about your car, you should go there too! Everyone I've sent there has only had great remarks back about them. If you're looking to have fun at your mechanic's shop, then this is the place for you!
